Academic path

Bertrand Tiotsop began his academic career by obtaining a BTS in Business Communication from the Institut Siantou Supérieur in Cameroon. He then went on to qualify as a trainer with Insights Discovery in South Africa, acquiring skills in the field of professional training.

He then deepened his knowledge of leadership and communication by obtaining certifications as a presenter, trainer and effective leader through JCI University. These certifications enabled him to develop his skills in public speaking, meeting management and leadership.

Bertrand also sought to develop his skills as a trainer and motivational speaker. He trained at the Glen Mc Quirk Institute in South Africa, where he gained skills in training facilitation and inspirational communication. In addition, he became MAP4LIFE accredited in Cameroon, strengthening his skills in life management and personal development.

To complete his background, Bertrand studied business at Kedge Business School Enterprise in Bordeaux, France, where he deepened his knowledge of business management.

Finally, he obtained additional certifications to strengthen his digital skills, including Digital Facilitator and Management/Marketing with a specialisation in Risk Management from the Click Institute in the US, based in Washington.

Professional career

Bertrand Tiotsop’s career path is distinguished by its diversity of experience and his commitment to several areas. He began as a member of Junior Chamber International (JCI), a global leadership organisation, where he developed his skills in leadership, project management and public speaking. He later joined Toastmasters International, an organisation dedicated to developing communication and leadership skills, and served as President of the Eagles Toastmasters Club in Douala, honing his communication and meeting management skills.

Bertrand also worked as a research associate at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) with communications expert Dominique Wolton, broadening his understanding of the challenges of communication.

As a member of the International Council of Advertising Self-Regulation (ICAS) in Belgium, Bertrand is committed to advertising regulation, promoting ethical and responsible advertising, and ensuring compliance with standards and good practice.

As director of Club Hermès Cameroun, a scientific magazine focusing on communication research, Bertrand has combined his passion for communication with his interest in research, contributing to the dissemination of scientific knowledge in this field.
